We are a small, devoted group of animal-loving friends who combine well over 50 years of rescue experience. We work closely with several other Rottweiler, Pitbull and all-breed rescue groups throughout the North East as well as regional animal shelters and we are the only Rottweiler rescue that is saving Rottweilers from death in New Jerseys overwhelmed shelters. All of our dogs must pass a stringent temperament evaluation for handling, people-focus, food and resource guarding, and acceptable behavior with other animals before being accepted into our program. Rescues are altered, micro chipped, current on vaccinations, heartworm tested and on preventative. The safety and well-being of our animals is of utmost importance to us, so our adoption process includes a phone interview, 2 personal references, a vet reference, and an on-site home check. A donation of $300.00 (for an adult dog or mixed puppy) and $350.00 (for a pure bred puppy) is used to offset the cost of offering a healthy companion to complete your family.

Our rescue friends publish Rotts on Parade - a monthly e-publication for Rottweiler owners. Take advantage of a free subscription, as the articles often relate to nutrition, training and health of any dog, not only Rottweilers.

One of our most valued volunteers, Renate, is an award-winning multi-talented artist whose expertise lies with creating stunning animal portraits. Dogs, in particular, are her passion, and you may view some of her creations here on her website.

A life-long animal advocate and devoted rescuer, Renate will donate 5% of the sale price to us if you mention our rescue when commissioning one of her oil paintings or sketches.
